Greg Pelka

Greg Pelka is the Sales and marketing Representative at Rosemount Turf, located in Rosemount on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Greg has been involved in the family business since 2015 when he moved back from working overseas. Before being a turf farmer Greg was a high school business teacher and completed an undergraduate degree in Business Management and Human Resources as well as a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education.
Greg participated in the Future Leaders program, funded by Horticulture Innovation Australia, in 2019. This program aimed to foster new leaders in the Horticultural industry. He wishes to use his skills from this program and his career in education to further Turf Queensland.
Greg believes industry bodies, such as Turf Queensland, play an integral role in supporting turf farmers and being a voice for them. He sees Turf Queensland as a brilliant resource for farmers to advocate for them in Policy, research and development and all other aspects of our industry.
Greg got into the turf industry as a break from Education but fell in love with the community and family aspect that Turf farming offers. Greg is passionate about green space and the healing and community aspects that it provides and endeavours to promote this.
