HEALTH AND SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE

Australia along with its various states have legislation on Health and Safety practices and are key features of the various states and territories. Some laws may not yet be adopted into some State and Territory’s  laws and the state and territories have their own particular differences. Unification of these laws is currently being developed.

Employers and managers must carry responsibility for Health and Safety of workers in their workplace.

Workers and employees have a responsibility to take reasonable care of themselves and others, and to cooperate with business, employer management on WH&S matters.

Regardless of the legal responsibilities morally, no business employer, or worker wants to see his or her employee or work colleague injured at work.

Now is the time to have a toolbox talk with your employees on Workplace Health and Safety.

How important is it to ensure your employees return to their families and loved ones once they leave work.
